🌱 🌻 πŸ₯³ The gardening book you've all been waiting for......

🌿 Dear gardening friends,

Happy solstice! Summer is here and the garden is growing like gangbusters which is so welcome after that slow start to Spring. 🌷

Despite the long, sun-drenched days I have felt myself pulled inward. My mind, body, and spirit has been craving quiet amidst the songs of birds 🎢 and the ebullience of children freed from the confines of the school day. For those that know me, quiet is likely not a word you would use to describe me. But my body is wise and knows I need a sacred pause, a cocoon of sorts, between a the very hard work of a hungry caterpillar πŸ› and her forthcoming emergence into the full expression of her beauty. πŸ¦‹

So what has this weary caterpillar been up to? Many of you know--for the last seven years (seven??!!) I have been pouring my heart and soul into writing a book for you. And so I proudly present to you....THE CLIMATE-WISE GARDENER!

This book is the amalgamation of my 20 years as an ecologist and 15 years as a garden educator. What I am so proud of is how practical this book is at giving us gardeners the tools, skills, and power to lead the climate revolution while growing beautiful and abundant gardens that are resilient to the changes as they come. It is for all gardeners, whether your passion is ornamentals, veggies and herbs, permaculture, fruits and nuts or restoring habitat with native plants.

πŸ’š I am so grateful to all of the amazing gardening students (that's YOU!) who have requested this book and waited patiently for its completion.

β€‹πŸŒΏ The Climate-Wise Gardener will be ready to be in your hot, little, dirt-covered gardeners hands on November 10th from Chelsea Green Publishing.

πŸ“– Pre-orders are super important for new authors especially. Pre-ordering a copy (or three!) tells the book sellers that this is a book in high demand and they should order many. There are many ways to pre-order including strutting your overall-clad self into your local bookstore and requesting a copy through them or you can access just about every single book seller through the link below and should you like an autographed copy as soon as they are available, you can get one on my website.

This book is a step-by-step guide to making our gardens resilient, regenerative, and revolutionary. πŸ’ͺ🏼

Let's show the world that the climate-wise revolution is being led by gardeners!

Happy gardening!

Jennie πŸŒ±πŸ’š

🌿 Dear gardening friends, Last week I wrote about embodied knowing β€” that quiet, bone-deep trust you build through seasons of paying attention in the garden. A lot of you wrote back. πŸ’š Thank you for that β€” truly. A few of you also had questions about the retreat, so I want to make sure to answer all of those. But first β€” a little garden wisdom. One of my favorite practices in ecological gardening is companion planting: the practice of growing plants together that help each other thrive....

Hey there fellow gardener! 🌻 Imagine walking into your garden and instinctively knowing which seeds need sowing, what companions to plant, and which weeds are for eating. You feel rooted, grounded, and excited while doing it all in an efficient and effective, regenerative way. Embody the rhythms of Nature and bring more joy and ease to gardening. 🌷 Three years ago, I launched my long-time dream of creating Garden Rhythm– an ecological gardening education program that brings more JOY to...

🌿 Gardening friends, 🌷May is here! Can you feel Jack Frost skulking away into his summer hidey hole? We're not out of the window for freezing temperatures just yet but I can feel the warmer days coming deep in my bones. In the garden, my brassicas are settling into the garden nicely and beets and carrots are peeking above the soil surface, ready to make beautiful bright root crops for us to feed on into the fall. In my house, tomatoes and peppers are awaiting the long days of late May and I...
